"The regularity of everyday life is beautiful, yet overlooked"
Connor Kurata is a surrealist painter based out of Sacramento, California. He focuses on channeling human emotion in his work. Noting that human emotion can take shape in artwork to be analyzed over a greater stretch of time. In all of his work, he tries to capture the essence of human emotion through style and similar temperatures. He prefers to paint people as they are, saying that "the regularity of everyday life is beautiful, yet overlooked. The accidental photo shoot is so much more revealing to the human experience than anything else." His work demonstrates the importance of carrying through with your emotion instead of holding it back. Going through some hard times himself, he knows the importance of expression. Each crevice of the face to him, is a new story that is just untold until it is reflected upon. |
